If you are wondering who it is that is selling on ebaY now, and how the person to person business is being further diluted, another ebaY based consignment store business has opened. There are many of these companies in existence, and dozens that have come and gone. This one, called Auction Mills, is located in McKinney Texas, and much like the other businesses based on this model, are hoping to franchise. Auction Mills is a publicly traded company (as of Jul) whose stock is currently at around 30 cents a share. TAG has yet to see a single successful/profitable ebaY related consignment model, so it will be interesting to see how this stock does and what influences its price.

One of these days we will TAGlog why we feel there is little chance of consignment shops succeeding.
